March 27, 2007 - Arizona Clean Fuels can check off another item on its "to-do" list.

The company has received title to the property where it plans to build an oil refinery in eastern Yuma County.

Arizona Clean Fuels has purchased 1,460 acres from the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation and Drainage District
for a total of $14,681,100, the Yuma County Assessor's Office confirmed Tuesday. See complete article here:

"It’s looking like 2007 will be a kinder year for the company that intends to develop an oil refinery in eastern Yuma County,
the first to be built in the nation in some 30 years. "Things are coming together," said Dave Treanor, vice president of Arizona Clean Fuels."

OIL REFINERY STATUS - Yuma County Sun January 12, 2007

• Acquisition of the land for the proposed oil refinery east of Tacna has moved closer with the release of an environmental impact statement, said Larry Killman, a consultant with Arizona Clean Fuels, which plans to develop the refinery. Also, officials are in Mexico working on details for a port and pipeline in that country to import crude oil from Canada and transport it to the site. And two "very interested equity partners" may help finance the $3.5 billion refinery.
